Hey Ilen, and Maggie, and Heather and Jean Anne, at the very least: A friend pointed this little girl's eighteenth century costume dress out to me this evening. It's gorgeous, and forget Katie - I want it for myself! :)
Are you sure there aren't any 18th century events we can costume for? If I could ever persuade her to wear anything like it, Katie would be lovely in this.

Date: 2008-10-25 02:51 pm (UTC)Considering that my little one wanted to be a barrel of Toxic Waste for Halloween, and then settled her heart on being a big black pot of gold, I wonder if she would ever go for a gown like this.
I DID go to a vineyard in Napa yesterday to a place that grounds that looked like something out of a french fairy tale, and sold bubbly stuff. They said that they have parties rent out the entire space and do french period parties, several times a year.
and me, alas, without my glass slipper.
If you had a dress like that, we would all have to have one too, so that appropriate parties could ensue.
pretty costumes
